The IOU Hostel offers contemporary, comfortable, and affordable accommodation in 14 ensuite rooms. Proudly Yorkshire’s only independent self-catering vegetarian hostel, set in the vibrant town of Hebden Bridge, close to the Pennine Way, with excellent transport links.

Surrounded by stunning woodland and gardens and a private wildflower meadow and terrace, the hostel provides an inspiring escape.

Managed by the arts charity IOU Creation Centre, the Hostel is more than just a place to stay. It’s a creative hub, offering an Artist in Residence programme, regular exhibitions, and opportunities to take part in workshops and retreats.

A unique opportunity to take part in a Depth Writing workshop with renowned Jungian-based writer and teacher Dr Rachel Newsome

New Wildflower
Terrace

In September we unveiled our new outdoor wildflower terrace and meadow,created in collaboration with landscape designer and wildflower expert Jack Wallington.

The project has been thoughtfully designed with accessibility and well-being in mind, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the terrace.
